Work Schedule:

70% FTE, day shift. Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM. Rotation between University Hospital Mammography and Bone Mineral Density. Some rotations to screening mammography sites at outlying clinics. Up to 6 weekend shifts or backup call rotations per year. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist - Mammography to:

  • Perform a wide variety of routine, complex and specialized procedures under the general supervision of the section Team Lead and Radiology Manager.
  • Provide basic maintenance and repairs, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to prioritize and organize schedules and to triage routine and emergent procedures.
  • Coordinate and actively participate in the training of other Imaging technologists, fellows, residents, physicians and visiting health care professionals and serve as a clinical instructor for affiliated imaging training programs and assist in training other Imaging technologists.

Education:

Minimum - Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology.

Preferred - Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

Work Experience:

Minimum - Previous healthcare experience.

Preferred - Two (2) years of clinical experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Certification by appropriate body (ARRT) and valid Wisconsin Radiological License. CPR certification required within 3 months of hire. Mammography certification within 30 months.

Preferred - Mammography certification.
