This position exists to ensure the accurate invoicing of customers and the collection of payments on behalf of the company. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor leads the accounts receivable department and works closely with customers to ensure payment deadlines are met.

What you will do:

Setting payment collection goals and targets for the department

Creating and implementing a strategy to improve the collection of outstanding credit

Ensuring the timely collection and application of payments

Implementing collection policies and procedures to avoid excessive outstanding credit

Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client credit checks

Setting up the terms of credit for new customers

Responding to customer inquiries

Training and mentoring of staff members in the accounts receivable department

Liaising with customers and the sales team

Preparing monthly feedback reports on payment collections

Managing the sales ledger

Strong accounting skills

Attributes and Skills you will have:

Excellent analytical skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to reconcile complex customer accounts

Specifications:

Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, finance or similar field

Proven work experience as an accounts receivable manager

Capable of decision making

Ability to deal with stressful situations
