Overview: As an Office 365 Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the deployment, administration, and optimization of the Office 365 suite within our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth integration, effective utilization, and ongoing support for Office 365 applications and services across various departments. Your expertise will drive efficiency, collaboration, and innovation within the workplace.

Responsibilities:

Management:

  • Manage a team of primarily Office 365 Systems Administrators responsible for delivering IT solutions in a secure manner.

  • Apply system knowledge to diagnose and fix complex problems.

  • Perform requirements analysis, design reviews, and documentation.

  • Provide reliable estimates of effort and good identification of risks.

  • Apply sound IT Engineering processes, with a focus on security and best practices.

  • Stay current with technology and industry best practices.

  • Provide hands on technical role.

  • Communicate changes and challenges with IT management staff.

  • Provide project management for team.

  • Work with minimal supervision towards the common goals for the department.

Deployment and Configuration:

  • Lead the deployment and configuration of Office 365 applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and other related services.

  • Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to develop deployment plans, migration strategies, and adoption initiatives.

  • Customize Office 365 settings to align with organizational requirements, security policies, and compliance standards.

Administration and Maintenance:

  • Manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions within the Office 365 environment.

  • Monitor system health, performance, and security, implementing proactive measures to ensure reliability and availability.

  • Conduct regular updates, patches, and maintenance tasks to keep Office 365 services up-to-date and secure.

User Support and Training:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users experiencing Office 365-related issues.

  • Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and documentation to educate users on Office 365 features, best practices, and productivity tools.

  • Foster a culture of self-service and empowerment, encouraging users to leverage Office 365 capabilities to enhance their work.

Governance and Compliance:

  • Establish governance policies, guidelines, and procedures for Office 365 usage, data management, and information security.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies, implementing controls and safeguards as needed.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to assess compliance posture and mitigate risks.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of new Office 365 features, updates, and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on organizational productivity and efficiency.

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and integration with other systems to enhance Office 365 functionality and usability.

  • Solicit feedback from users and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance the Office 365 user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    • 5+ years of technical experience.

    • 3+ years of management experience is required.

  • Proven experience administering and managing Office 365 services in a corporate environment.

  • Strong understanding of Office 365 applications, features, and integration capabilities.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert are a plus.
