Here's your opportunity:

As an E- Coat Operator, you will be responsible foroperation and monitoring of the e-coat system to apply one of a variety of colors to a rack of parts via programmable hoist equipment. Assists in training and hanging parts on racks and loading the racks in the e-coat system. Work with technicians, group leaders, and engineers to ensure proper operating parameters are maintained. Request and assist maintenance.

1st shift is 5:00am to 1:30pm.

Here's how you'll contribute:

  • Transport bath samples, coatings, chemicals, using provided equipment, carts, and methods.
  • Unload parts from racks to assembly line, packaging line, or pallets.
  • Visually inspect parts for proper coating coverage free from defects and provide feedback of rejects and for future rack design improvements.
  • Responsible for all phases of part preparation, such as verifying incoming cleanliness; free from protective vinyl; rack loading without marring or scratching parts; proper color selection.
  • Monitor cleanliness of incoming parts and prepare parts for coating.
  • Meet or exceed quality specifications and on-time performance.
  • Maintain cleanliness within the department.
  • Monitor and data log tank levels, pressure gauges, thermometers, flow meters, filter changes, and measure and make bath additions, bath changes, and tank cleaning.*
  • Observe, document, and communicate operating parameter concerns.
  • Inspect equipment for alignment and wear.
  • Change bag filters, mix concentrated coatings, make paint additions, titrate cleaner solution, and add cleaner as required.*
  • Monitor part quality and make recommendations for tank cleaning and/or system adjustments and repairs.
  • Recommend process improvements.
  • Monitor consumables inventory and replenishment.*
  • Ability to learn coating tests, results, and understand corrective action when necessary.*
  • Knowledge of the mechanics of the equipment.*
  • An understanding of when to wear protective face shields, steel toe rubber boots, rubber gloves, others, per safety and health guidelines.
  • Complies with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures, and housekeeping standards.*
  • Lead daily continuous improvement
  • Facilitates department meetings

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalency. Basic math including ability to perform volume measurements and communication skills required. At least 5 years of manufacturing experience . Prior leadership experience desired. Knowledge or ability to understand general metric measurements is a plus. Ability to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge of techniques and procedures.
