Location: WIS-PAK of NORFOLK

Position: Maintenance Planner

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner will coordinate Overhaul and Preventive Maintenance activities across all lines in the WT Plant, while working to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of both.

JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Note: The job functions relate to the job, not the individual)

* Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to develop a 3-5-year overhaul plan for the facility.

* Coordinate parts, labor and timing with plant and contractors for individual equipment overhauls and Rebuild schedules.

* Expand upon the existing Preventive Maintenance program by identifying areas of opportunity, developing and documenting individual PM activities, scheduling the work, auditing PM effectiveness and tracking the rate of completion. Standardizing PM procedures to meet Wis-Pak standards.

* Become proficient with our Capital Asset Management system and maintain to keep current.

* Work with vendors and purchasing to secure competitive quotes for plant projects and planned work.

* Work with the Maintenance Manager and Inventory Clerk to implement an organizational strategy for the site's parts storage area meeting the Wis-Pak standard. This includes establishing and maintaining inventory levels.

* Provide coverage for the Maintenance Lead, and Inventory Clerk as needed.

* This position is responsible for walking through each requested "job" and developing an associated checklist to ensure completion.

o P.M. Completion Verification: Line walks "inspections / Audits" to verify quality P.M. completion

* Utilize 5S tools in the shop area and all parts storage areas.

* Planning work including ordering required parts, kitting parts, and scheduling maintenance work.

* Track and or develop KPI's for the maintenance department and Facility.

* Track Daily, Weekly & Monthly P.M. Progress.

o Monitor any "past due P.M.'s" and report to the Maintenance Manager with a plan to correct deficiencies.

* Create and Track: Qualified P.M. Employee Tracking Form & Program.

o Utilize tracking to communicate progress using visual display(s) "whiteboards"

* Create P.M. Videos & Power Points to train Maintenance and other departments on maintenance needed items.

o Create and Maintain Standard Work Instructions.

* Maintain departmental training records for work order procedural training, including WO specific safety training.

* Maintain and Update maintenance library of equipment manuals and procedures.

* Collectively house quality / food safety audit, environmental, and regulatory permits pertaining to plant utility and CCPs

* Other duties as assigned.

KEY COMPETANCIES:

* Knowledge of wiring schematics \ parts, technical manuals, and exploded view parts list utilization.

* Proficient computer skills in; Excel, Word, and Power Point.

o Video Editing Experience is preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

* Requires two years of college with courses in production operations plus two to three years of related experience; or five to six years of progressively responsible related experience.

o A combination of the all the education and experience listed above is preferred.
