Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs general maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, machinery and equipment, heating and plumbing systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs general maintenance and preventive maintenance work on shop equipment.
  • Interprets maintenance manuals, drawings, and specifications to determine repair and troubleshooting and procedures.
  • Troubleshoots general operational problems. Uses testing devices.
  • Disassembles, repairs, replaces parts on, and reassembles equipment.
  • Performs basic fabrication and assembly.
  • Maintains facility by performing general upkeep and repair operations. Refers those maintenance needs requiring proficient experience to supervisor.
  • Maintains heating, cooling, and ventilating systems.
  • Runs and drops computer and telephone wiring, as well as piping for basic plumbing.
  • Performs basic electrical repairs on equipment.
  • Assists with the moving, relocation, and installation of equipment.
  • Places purchase requisitions for parts or supplies, as needed.
  • Moves and stores hazardous materials in accordance with environmental and safety procedures.
  • Follows lockout tagout procedures.
  • Proceeds under general supervision.
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of and conformity with Ace Precision Quality System work instruction requirements that govern Maintenance operations.
  • Maintains or exceeds production standards through efficient organization and planning.
  • Follows and complies with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Accurately completes all required documentation.
  • Meets attendance policy requirements.
  • Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Two-year technical degree with one to three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read English and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with employees and other Company stakeholders.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals and fractions.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Requires judgment to plan and perform work, make decisions as to the sequence of processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.
