Job Summary:
Northwestern University is in search of an experienced, detail-oriented, proactive, culturally competent, student-centered professional to serve as the Program Assistant for Student Enrichment Services. Student Enrichment Services serves lower income, first-generation, and/or undocumented undergraduates at Northwestern University. Reporting to the Senior Director of Student Enrichment Services, the Program Assistant will join a team of professionals from the areas of Multicultural Student Affairs, Social Justice Education, and Religious and Spiritual Life. These four areas together comprise Campus Inclusion and Community and are committed to creating a more inclusive learning environment for all our students through work focused on advocacy and education in the areas of equity and access, leadership development, and intersectionality.
The Program Assistant for Student Enrichment Services is responsible for administrative and programmatic support for the SES office. Successful candidates for the Program Assistant will have experience in office management and with budgets/finance. Candidates will also have a strong background in communications, including social media and written communication, and event planning. SES prioritizes team culture and interdependence; the ideal candidate will be a team player who is both proactive and flexible as we strive to best serve our students.
Candidates will demonstrate evidence of prioritizing, tracking, and managing multiple projects with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and complete deliverables. Candidates will have strong organizational skills and will demonstrate extraordinary attention to detail. Lastly, candidates will possess a dedication to the support of student success and the student learning experience. Their work will contribute to the mission of the Division of Student Affairs at Northwestern, which is to educate students, engage the community, and enrich the Northwestern experience.
Workplace Flexibility: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days work from home)
Pay: This is a non-exempt, benefits-eligible full-time role with an hourly compensation range of $21.00 to $22.26 per hour depending on experience, skills, and internal equity.
