We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manitowoc, WI team. You will provide leadership, direction, and support for the production team in evaporator manufacturing, plating, and engineering lab. There is an immediate need to increase our production output which will be the main focus for this position.

You will:

  • Responsible for maintaining manufacturing and quality standards in the evaporator plating and assembly areas.
  • Research, design, and develop new production processes to increase output and efficiency.
  • Communicate results of analysis and research.
  • Evaluate current processes and develop improvements to safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Create standards and specifications for processes, products, and tests.
  • Workflow analysis.
  • Provide training and mentorship to technical staff.
  • Contribute to existing safety management program.
  • Generation of labor standards using MOST (Maynard Operation Sequence Technique) per Union contract
  • Initiate ECOs (Engineering Change Orders), deviations and ECRs (Engineering Change Requests).
  • Lead the NPI (New Product Introduction) process for MII production parts and support new products as needed.
  • Introduction and tracking changes to Finished Goods kits to support Marketing/Sales and Service Parts.
  • Aid in recommending, purchasing, implementing, and maintaining tooling for our in-house equipment/processes.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • 3 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Experience in Electroless or Electroplating production or research environment a plus
  • AutoCAD and/or Solid Works experience
  • Applied knowledge of value stream mapping.
  • Project management
  • Labor standards using MOST (Maynard Operation Sequence Technique)
