Work Schedule:

Overnight Schedule. Hour options available between 16 hours per week to 40 hours per week. Hours could vary 8:00PM - 7:00AM. Weekend hours and holiday rotation required. You will work at East Madison Hospital. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay:

  • External hires may be eligible for up to a $3000.00 sign on bonus.

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to:

  • Prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals, perform inventory control, compliance audits, and financial transactions, provide excellent customer service, and maintain pharmacy records.
  • Provide exemplary assistance to interdepartmental team members with their pharmacy needs.
  • Be a self starter! Have exceptional time management and prioritization skills when managing multiple competing priorities in a busy work environment.

Education:

Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred - Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program

Work Experience:

Minimum - Six (6) months experience as a pharmacy technician or completion of accredited pharmacy technician training program

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - As defined by the enactment of 2021 WI Act 100, all candidates hired into this role on or after March 1, 2023, must apply for registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the WI Dept of Safety and Professional Services ("DSPS"), and provide proof of application to their UW Health Recruiter prior to their start date. Failure to do so will result in delay of start date or withdrawal of offer. Current incumbents or those starting in an impacted role prior to March 1, 2023, are required to provide proof of application to their department designee no later than March 31, 2023.
