This position reports to

Service Team Leader

Your role and responsibilities

1st assignment in Wauwatosa, WI: Will first teach safety and provide product theory for drives, motors and generators. In addition, you will be providing technical support to ABB Customers/End users, Sales Channel, Product Management Teams, and ABB Drive Services for Medium Voltage Drives and Motors & Generators
2nd assignment in New Berlin, WI: Get to know our Drive Service Workshop (DSW) by repairing a variety of standard drive units and subassemblies, ensuring the best possible, most costeffective problem resolution, and assisting in identifying and resolving quality and reliability problems
3rd assignment field service shadowing: Provide limited onsite support, and expertise in response to a variety of site work requests, telephone calls and emails regarding installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and programming questions and to technical problems encountered by users of ABB Motion Products

Qualifications for the role

  • Graduates from a technical school with a degree in electronics, field service or technical support (completed technical studies by Spring 2024)
  • Analytical and targetoriented thinking and acting but also innovative and creative mindset
  • Determined and solutionfocused personality as well as strong selfinitiative and selfawareness
  • Inquisitive, openminded, and communicative team player with excellent ability to collaborate
  • Highly adaptable and flexible to different styles, situations, and cultures Excited to explore living/working in different parts of the US, relocating for each rotation is possible. Relocation assistance is provided
  • Desire to learn and grow from a diverse set of experiences and people
  • A growth mindset focused on continual learning and improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
