Job Description

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will responsible for ensuring delivery efficiency and maximizing customer satisfaction by following distribution procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process shippers on ERP system.
  • Create BOL's for shipments.
  • Prepare hazardous shipping papers.
  • Coordinate daily with Final Inspection and Marketing/Customer service groups to ensure on time deliveries to customers.
  • Process shipments on carrier websites to domestic and International destinations. (Bill of Ladings, Airway bills and supporting documents.)
  • Contact carriers for pickups. Process ASN's (Advanced Shipping Notice) per customer requirements. Will also support Export Control Personnel on Export shipment transactions.
  • Will follow Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements at all times.
  • Perform all 6S related activities, Department audits, organization, Attend and provide input, opinions in team meetings and complete 6S assignments.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of traffic coordinator experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
  • The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and proficiency with Microsoft Office a plus.
  • Must be Excel and Word proficient, will be creating Excel charts and graphs for tracking department performance.
  • Will be required to complete the following certifications and perform the task of processing Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance of DOT (Department of Transportation), IMDG (Int'l Maritime Dangerous Goods Code) and IATA (Int'l Air Transport Assoc.) for documentation, marking labeling and packaging of Dangerous Goods.
