Location: Froedtert Ambulatory Surgery Centers: West Bend, Oak Creek, Menomonee Falls, and Wauwatosa

This job is ON - SITE.

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technologist handles instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Has an understanding of the procedure being performed. Has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. He/she will perform other related duties as needed to maintain department cost containment, efficiency, as well as quality performance. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

Is competent in role as a Surgical Technologist and displays knowledge and ability to independently perform roles and tasks related to the field of surgical technology. A minimum of one to two years of work experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program is required.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
