Job Description:

What you will be doing:

• Analyze blueprints and other related documents to determine requirements and identify potential issues.
• Prepare quotations by analyzing labor, material, and outside service costs required for manufacturing.
• Maintain contact and relationships with customers and vendors.
• Communicate customer requirements with the Engineering Manager and Shop Supervisor.
• Resolve discrepancies and missing information by liaising with customers and vendors.

Experience you will need:

• 5-10 years of experience in estimating in a machining environment.
• Understanding of manufacturing work scope, tools, and equipment requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret detail drawings, technical specifications, and production orders.
• Experience in estimating various costs such as raw material, outside service, subcontractor and freight costs.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
