Schedules appointments for incoming phone calls, following set Central Scheduling protocols, to determine level of need for outpatient services with regards to schedule availability. Schedules and coordinates appointments for families for clinic visits, ancillary services, and diagnostic testing. Processes outpatient registrations, obtaining all necessary registration information. Helps educate and communicate to patient families their financial obligations and means of obtaining managed care authorizations.

  • High school education or equivalent.

  • Experience in registration and/or scheduling preferred. Prior experience working with insurance or in a healthcare setting preferred.

  • Epic experience preferred.

  • Call center experience preferred. One year customer service experience required.

  • Requires excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills in order to serve a variety of people in a fast paced call center environment.

  • Ability to data entry 5500 KSPH with 97% accuracy preferred.

  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills necessary to work in a fast paced multi-functioned department.

  • Ability to make decisions based on established clinic protocols.

This position requires onsite training for the first week, then will be fully remote.
