Summary

Incumbent is responsible for executing on the technology and business operations strategies for Treasury and Insurable Risk Management and advancing business partner initiatives related to Treasury and money movement. Assists business and business partners with system changes, problem resolution, documentation, and process improvement initiatives for new and/or existing systems and processes. Participates in assigned projects. Develops project deliverables for various project scopes.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directs and supports complex initiatives and involve cross departmental participation to optimize the Treasury, Risk Management and money movement needs of the organization. Understand the key business drivers as they relate to projects. Responsible for gathering and delivery of metrics and required by the projects.

  • Develops, maintains and revises deliverables, including monitoring of progress, execution, and management of the plan through closure of the project. Defines the project structure into manageable work units, creating a single unified project plan to deliver the project, acquiring resources to project activities, communication and organizational changes.

  • Identifies, understands and documents current state, opportunities for improvement and future state business processes in order to meet business objectives. Identifies alternative options in the development and enhancements of systems and processes. Acts as liaison between business and technical partners. Designs efficient solutions to meet business and technology needs.

  • Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders and communicate status updates in a timely and clear fashion. Effectively interact, negotiate and influence project teams and business partners to provide acceptable solutions and results.

  • Motivates project team members and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team - team dynamics.

  • Acts as subject matter expert representing and establishing business requirements for Treasury on departmental and cross-departmental projects. Stays abreast of technology and industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related work experience.

  • Minimum of six or more years of experience/knowledge in processes and project management experience including analysis, technical, problem solving and decision making skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large and highly complex assignments.

  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Proven ability developing and influencing relationships with project team members and stakeholders

  • High degree of personal initiative and motivation

  • CTIP highly desirable.

Compensation Range:

Pay Range - Start:

$68,320.00

Pay Range - End:

$126,880.00

Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
