This position is a hybrid position. Required on-site days in Milwaukee will be M, T, and W.

This role works with general supervision in the Mainframe RACF Security domain, focusing on smaller and less complex projects. They are capable of independently resolving moderately complex issues using their problem-solving skills but may require assistance for more complex problems. They can perform basic development tasks independently but may seek support from their team for more complex tasks. They have a solid understanding of general security frameworks and delivery models, as well as a basic understanding of Identity & Access Management and tools within the Mainframe RACF domain.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the RACF security system to ensure the protection of the organization's data.

  • Able to use problem-solving skills to resolve moderately complex issues independently but may need assistance from others for more complex issues.

  • Able to perform basic development tasks independently but may need assistance from others on the team for more complex issues.

  • Has a solid understanding of security frameworks and delivery models.

  • Has a basic understanding of Identity & Access Management and tools within their IAM Domain.

  • Possesses working knowledge of engineering best practices within their IAM Domain.

  • Exhibits an appetite for continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in cyber security, Computer Science, Information systems, or equivalent work experience in the IT field

  • 1-3 years of professional experience required.

  • Experience with engineering best practices to include analyzing, designing, developing, deploying, and supporting software solutions, and/or infrastructure implementations/upgrades.

  • Experience in the following domains: Directory Services, Mainframe, RACF

  • Competency with one or more scripting/programming languages such as REXX, Java, JCL, Python, PowerShell, etc.

  • Ability to align and mature to security practices.

  • Ability to explain technical solutions to technical teams and non-technical teams.

  • Documentation, testing, and automation skills.

  • Ability to align technical needs to business processes.

  • Ability to prioritize work based on business objectives.

  • Ability to break down work to deliver value incrementally.

  • Experience preferred with Agile methodologies/DevOps environment.

Compensation Range:

Pay Range - Start:

$68,320.00

Pay Range - End:

$126,880.00

Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
