Job Description

To provide physical therapy intervention to clients served and to be a productive member of the physical therapy department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Participates with the treatment team in the development, implementation, assessment, and documentation of
  • individualized patient treatment plans under the direct supervision of a physical therapist.
  • Patient Care: Provides treatment to patients in accordance with currently accepted clinical and program procedures
  • Patient Care: Displays professional demeanor and exhibits interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain productive working
  • relationships with patients, families, staff, and peers
  • Professional Growth: Assumes personal responsibility for own professional growth through maintenance of education including facility
  • mandatory training hours
  • Safety: Contributes to maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Program Development: Attends and actively participates in departmental, facility wide and programmatic meetings
  • Student Program: Actively participates in student program
  • Facilitates Quality Care: Participates in Lead teams and committees as assigned or interest arises
  • Age appropriateness: Demonstrates competency of age related issues in the application of growth and development, rehabilitation, and physical therapy treatment standards
  • To be proficient in the EMR Welsky within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications:

  • Skill, Knowledge and Abilities: Requires a thorough knowledge of human anatomy, philosophy, and the effect of treatment procedures on body function and
  • structure. Knowledge of neuro-developmental treatment and motor control and understanding of neurological dysfunction and its effect on motor performance.
  • Education: Completion of physical therapy assistant program from an accredited school and CPR certification.
  • Experience: Preferred 1 year experience in neuro-rehabilitation setting will consider graduates with clinical education experience in neuro-rehabilitation.
