About the Role:

The Paid Media & SEO Manager delivers value by ensuring paid media and search engine optimization (SEO) strategies, plans, in-flight optimizations, and reporting fully support and deliver on each brand's marketing goals and strategies, leading industry practices, and corporate policies supporting full-funnel key performance indicators (KPIs). Partners closely with cross-functional teams and agency partners to deliver on paid media and SEO goals & plans. Is a key member of the Marketing Services Team that partners with marketers in all four Johnson Outdoors' business units.

What you will be doing:

  • Effectively evaluates paid media campaigns and SEO strategies/plans against brand marketing goals and KPIs and provides feedback to agency, brand marketing.
  • Provides brand marketing teams and agencies with strategic and implementation recommendations.
  • Reviews ad campaign structures, and advises on performance improvement and reporting recommendations, including pay per click (PPC), social, and display.
  • Works collaboratively with media agency and brand marketers on planning, implementation (including asset development and delivery), and in-flight optimizations.
  • Drives paid media and SEO landing page analysis, testing, and optimization recommendations, helping support a test-learn-and-go culture.
  • Manages product feed from sites to downstream channels. Works with partners to troubleshoot issues and optimize product feeds for Google Ads campaigns, Google Product Listings, and Paid Social campaigns
  • Leads and manages paid media and Tech SEO projects including goals, timelines, milestones, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors projects to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Acts as a team player in partnering within Marketing Services and with other departments and demonstrates the ability to influence without direct reporting accountability.
  • Utilize Artificial Intelligence, including latest capabilities, to increase efficiency for optimization and content creation

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, marketing analytics, advertising, digital marketing, or equivalent.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible digital marketing, paid media, or ecommerce marketing experience which includes managing and driving digital marketing, paid media, and eCommerce plans and tactics to successfully drive positive return on investment.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Expert-level experience in and strong working knowledge of digital marketing channels such as organic search (Google, Bing), PPC, leading social platforms, YouTube, display, and affiliate; and paid media campaign performance drivers and structures.
  • Expert-level experience in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Microsoft Office Suite required, especially Excel.
  • Experience with budget planning against KPIs, synthesizing campaign performance data, and making sound, actionable recommendations.
