Do you have pets and want discounts on products to care for them? Is flexibility in your work life important to you? Our General Pet Supply division in Milwaukee, WI is currently seeking Warehouse Order Picking Associates on all shifts!

ROLE SUMMARY

Warehouse Associates will select, clean, pack and palletize food and accessory pet products, per customer order. Warehouse Associates will fill multiple orders per shift includes product handled manually as well as full pallets using material handling equipment.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Complete necessary paper/computer work accurately Ability to operate RF Scanner.
  • Operation of walk rider, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, cart and/or forklift to select orders in a safe manner and in compliance with company policies.
  • Select food and/or accessory products to fill customer order and place on cart or pallet.
  • Take completed order/pallet to staging area.
  • Maintain cleanliness/safety of warehouse.
  • Recharge batteries for all electrical material handling equipment.
  • Provide high level of customer satisfaction with clean, accurate, and damage-free orders.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Responsible for following AIB and GDP requirements while performing daily operational functions/duties.
  • Assist in other department area where required.
  • Responsible for following all Food Safety polices and procedures; including performing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments and other related activities as directed.
  • Onsite presence.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

  • Excellent attention to detail and focus is a must to ensure accuracy and quality. Position requires an order accuracy rate of 97% or higher.
  • Able to safely operate and become certified in the operation of all warehouse equipment, including forklifts, walk-riders, electric pallet jacks, shrink-wrap machines and pallet jacks.
  • Able to communicate safety issues or concerns to supervisor.
  • Able to abide by all company policies and procedures.
  • Able to read, write and speak English.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Flexible to changing customer or operational demands and able to work overtime on short notice. Position requires working until the job is complete.
  • Must be organized, cooperative and a team player.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Previous warehouse experience is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Standing/walking for duration of shift.
  • Temperature varies based on weather conditions.
  • Warehouse environment is not 100% dust-free.
  • Use of warehouse equipment including pallet-jacks, walk-riders, forklifts, etc.
  • We work until the job is complete. Full-time employees are expected to work necessary overtime as required
