The Manager CRM Enterprise Solution Architecture will be part of an exciting, growing platform at Generac as we expand our Salesforce COE. This leader will provide technical leadership on our Salesforce architecture and platform. In this role, you will oversee global solutions for use of our Manufacturing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and Marketing Cloud applications including the data architecture, development and integration between our Salesforce platform, ERP systems and other internal and external third-party systems. This role combines strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of Generac's business processes and goals. This leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful integration and utilization of Salesforce and Generac's technologies. The Manager CRM Enterprise Solution Architect will have the primary responsibility of optimizing our complex data structure, the technical design of our Salesforce and Generac's system along with integration design to ensure scalability and maximize our Salesforce platform. This leader's responsibilities will include redefining and optimizing our data structure, leading our technical team and advocating for org scalability and ensuring Salesforce and Generac best practices are followed.

This position is onsite at our headquarters in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and Agile development teams to refine and define application and product features to deliver business value or advance the architectural runway
  • Direct and support the implementation of software upgrades
  • Lead designing and documenting technical specifications for the solutions, ensuring architectural design aligns with enterprise standards as well as industry best practices
  • Take an economic view when designing solution architecture and making sure it aligns with business goals and objectives
  • Drive adoption of reusable architectural patterns, solution and development standards, and engineering excellence across multiple cross-functional Salesforce teams
  • Lead and mentor the Salesforce development team in best practices, coding standards, and Salesforce platform features
  • Oversee the development and customization of Salesforce functionalities using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks within the Salesforce platform
  • Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce releases and industry standards

Minimal Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's/Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, or related professional qualification
  • Certification / License
  • Salesforce certifications: Advance Administrator, Sharing & Visibility Architect, Data Architect, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant and Service Cloud Consultant
  • Six+ years' experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Clouds and/or CPQ
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and overseeing the work of developers
  • Experience working in Agile model, delivering value in iterations as a member of Scrum team


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience architecting Salesforce solutions with various integration patterns, or at minimum have a strong understanding of Salesforce integration patterns.
  • Prior experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor)
  • Experience with database development, SQL or PL/SQL, and database schemas.
  • Experience collaborating between multiple business entities with varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Experience with data modeling, data migration, and data governance in the Salesforce environment.
  • Applied knowledge of change management, configuration management, and the use of metrics to drive quality and continuous improvement
  • Applied knowledge in risk management
  • Proficient in Italian, German, French and Spanish languages a plus


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Advanced knowledge architecting, designing and implementing solutions that leverage cloud and on-premises technologies
  • Applied knowledge of DevOps
  • Applied knowledge infrastructure and security concepts and how they are applied within Salesforce
  • Expertise in designing and implementing integrations between Salesforce and other systems using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with technical and nontechnical audiences, including Salesforce COE team members, business partners, product owners, executive leadership, and global team members
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
  • Invested in helping teammates and in being a collaborative team player
  • Passion for learning the Salesforce platform and technologies and an ability to create a contagious culture of learning
