THE ROLE:

We are searching for a Director of HR (Human Resources) Business Partner to support one of our key business units. The successful candidate will mentor, advise, and facilitate AMD senior executives on successful human capital strategies, provided business insights through org and talent analytics, and drive proactive interpersonal development and change initiatives. THE PERSON:

The ideal person for this role will be able to thrive in AMD's fast-paced environment, be results oriented, and be a forward thinker. Will be able to work independently and with the team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive and enable a culture of innovation and positive employee, manager, and candidate experience
  • Consult, coach and execute with the business to identify, develop, and drive key human capital initiatives such as leadership development, succession planning, talent acquisition, and rewards and recognition
  • Analyze and communicate insights using key talent metrics to provide guidance to the business
  • Partner and team with colleagues inside and outside of HR to innovate, enhance, align, and drive the effectiveness of enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives
  • Strategically drive pay-for-performance including salary planning, promotions, resource planning and talent calibration
  • Act as an advisor to business leaders on issues relating to policy interpretation and employee relations; providing coaching techniques and developing performance improvement plans

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in a global, matrixed technical/engineering high tech company
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze/use HR metrics to partner with the business, influence action and be the HR champion and co-owner of business agenda
  • Knowledge and application of processes and programs such as organization design and development, change management, workforce and succession planning, performance management, employee relations, compensation, training, and recruitment
  • Proven operational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive cross functional relationships
  • Working closely and cooperatively with other regional HR and other functional WW leaders
  • A track record of creativity and innovative solutions

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in related discipline preferred
