Job Description
Position Title: Hybrid Senior Accountant
Wage: Based on Experience
A Hybrid Senior Accountant job headquartered in Milwaukee, WI is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions. This role requires candidates to have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience and 2+ years in public accounting with a strong understanding of financial analysis and statement preparation. In this position, candidates will prepare journal entries, complete account reconciliations, and complete financial analysis and reporting. This position will also assist with the annual audit process, analyze annual tax returns, and prepare external grant financial reports. Candidates must be located in an area where they can travel to the Milwaukee headquarters.
Hybrid Senior Accountant job responsibilities include:
- Prepare journal entries
- Reconcile accounts and the general ledger
- Complete financial analysis and reporting
- Prepare external grant financial reports
- Assist with annual audits
- Process and analyze annual tax returns
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 2+ years in public accounting
- Strong understanding of financial analysis and statement preparation
- Experience in a complex automated accounting environment
- Experience with account reconciliation and journal entries
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Accounting software experience
- CPA preferred
