Job Description

Ocean Spray is looking for a dynamic, creative, collaborative and results driven Plant Production Manager Provide leadership, facilitation, and coordination for the activities of the teams responsible for processing, packaging, quality, customer service and safety. Functions to maximize communications and operating efficiencies. Responsible for coaching and influencing team performance to meet or exceed standards for quality, cost, efficiency, and safety. Ensures that the concepts, practices, and expectations for performance management, within and between the teams, are understood and consistently applied.

The day in the life of a Plant Production Manager

  • Analyzes and evaluates various operations indicators, such as efficiencies, processing yield, process control charts, budget and cost variances; adapting and establishing plans and procedures with the teams as necessary to affect favorable resolutions.
  • Monitors, maintains and maximizes effective employee relations and communications systems, ensuring understanding and compliance with plant safety and GMP requirements.
  • Acts as advisor in areas of expertise, providing analysis and recommendations as required or as appropriate.
  • Communicates to and coordinates with other functional areas to maximize attainment of common goals.

What you need to know:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Three to five years of leadership experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and other computer programs as required.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills required.
  • Exposure to Total Quality Management concepts.
  • Strong ability to influence and provide leadership.
