5CN is an acute Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit that provides complex care to primarily Cardiology and Cardiothoracic patients. 5CN has the highest turbulence (admissions, transfers and discharges) in the Medical Center. The telemetry station in the hospital is located on this unit providing monitoring of the 15 beds on 5CN, as well as remote monitoring on 4C, 6C and 7C.All staff achieves and maintains telemetry competence, allowing flexibility in staff assignment to the telemetry station 24/7.
