Acts as an active member of the practice management team to support the care management model, standards of pediatric clinical practice, legal regulations, Code of Ethics and established policies. Supervises professional, administrative and technical personnel (pediatric nurses, medical assistants, care team assistants) providing patient care. Partners with Ambulatory Manager on business and financial operations.

Education, Certification, & License:

  • Knowledge of nursing theory and practice as acquired through completion of a Bachelors degree in Nursing. Consideration will be given to applicants who are currently enrolled in a baccalaureate program in nursing with an anticipated graduation date within two years of hire/promotion.
  • Current CPR certification ' Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
  • A license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin.

Experience & Skills:

  • Two years of outpatient clinical experience. Preference being in Pediatrics.
  • Prior leadership experience required, preferably in supervisory capacity.
  • Good organizational and patient relation skills.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced patient load while paying attention to detail.
  • High level of communication skills necessary for assessment of patient concerns and processing referrals for appropriate medical care.
  • Ability to read, interpret and enact policies and procedures.
  • Ability to stand and walk approximately 75% of the work time.
