Job Summary

Bilingual Door Monitor - Active Older Adults is responsible for granting entrance to patrons and directing them to their class, following procedures for checking in participants and visitors, and following general security procedures. Applicants must be fluent in English and Spanish to be considered.

Part-time position

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am-3:00pm

Hourly Rate: $12.00

Position Summary
  • Responsible for granting entrance to patrons and directing them to their class.
  • Offer support and assistance to the participants.
  • Follow procedures for checking in participants and visitors.
  • Follow general security procedures
  • Keep accurate records and file reports that are required. Records include attendance, incident/accident reports, etc.
  • Maintain the work area as a safe place to meet by enforcing safety rules, reporting, and eliminating all types of hazards.
  • Communicate with the Supervisor concerning any supply needs that may arise.
  • Report all problems to the Supervisor.
  • Attend all staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision Required

Reports to the Supervisor of Active Older Adults.

Job Requirements
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish to be considered.
  • Able to meet the scheduling needs required for this position.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs continuously.

Preferred Experience
  • Previous work experience in a public setting with a diverse population.
  • Experience as Event Staff or other security position.
  • CPR/First Aid training/certification.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Ability to work with all age groups.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish to be considered.
  • Ability to maintain files, assemble reports, and perform multiple office functions.
  • Ability to deliver exemplary customer service to the public and district staff.
