This position acts within the scope of practice of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Performs a variety of clinical duties which promote a safe and organized environment for the delivery of services to children and their families within the urgent care setting. This position reports to an Urgent Care supervisor.

Minimum Job Requirements

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification

  • Currently registered with the State of Wisconsin Registry for Nursing Assistants/Home Health Aides to be eligible for employment in the basic provider settings plus federally certified home health agencies and hospices or a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification preferred. Certified Nursing Assistant certifications are not required to be renewed after hire.
  • Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children's values and support our mission and vision.

* Proficient in the Microsoft Windows environment.

* Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills necessary to work independently in a fast paced multi-functioned department

* Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to assist patients, parents, and physicians and other staff.

* Required flexibility in order to prioritize efforts to meet needs of the patients, parents, physicians and other staff.

* Requires the ability to sit for extended period of time while performing duties.

  • Ability to walk/stand for approximately 50% of the work time and to frequently squat/ bend/ kneel, lift/carry, pull/push weights of approximately 20 lbs. and moderately 50 lbs, as well as lift and position patients weighing up to 75 pounds. May occasionally reach overhead to obtain supplies from storeroom or freezer/ refrigerator.

* Will require travel to any Urgent Care location.

  • During periods of high volume, additional shifts may be required.
