Children's Wisconsin has an opportunity for a Pharmacy Intern for the Summer of 2024.

Hours: 40 hours per week/ 10 weeks Summer 2024 onsite

Rotating weekends throughout the 2024-2025 school year (hybrid)

Location: Children's Wisconsin Milwaukee, WI

What you will do:

Under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, the pharmacy intern independently completes medication histories, compounds hazardous and non-hazardous oral medications, completes department clinical projects, and performs related duties as assigned.

Education
Currently enrolled in a Doctor of Pharmacy Program (must have completed the first or second year in pharmacy school as defined by the Pharmacy Examining Board).

  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children's values and support our mission and vision.

  • Ability to interpret written and verbal instruction

  • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Provides services in a setting where there is potential for exposure to blood and other high risk body fluids, chemotherapy agents, communicable disease and hazardous materials, chemicals, and waste.


Experience: Previous experience with medication histories and/or non-sterile compounding is preferred but not required
