Job Title: Mechanical Drafter

Summary:
The Mechanical Drafter will play a vital role in order entry and custom quote creation, as well detailed drawing creation for various projects. They will be responsible for uploading bills of materials, addressing manufacturing queries, and actively contributing to innovative new product development initiatives.

Job Duties for Mechanical Drafter:
  • Generate detailed drawings using CAD software for orders and custom projects, adhering to specifications and standards.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing inquiries, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with engineers and team members in new product development efforts, contributing to design ideation and implementation.
  • Review and revise drawings through the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process, incorporating feedback and updates.
  • Maintain organized records of drawings, BOMs, and relevant documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings and discussions, offering insights and updates on progress.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in drafting and design workflows.
Experience Requirements:
  • Associate degree
  • Mechanical Design experience is preferred
  • GD&T Experience
  • 3-6 years of detailed drafting experience, preferably machined components
  • PC skills including Microsoft Suite and CAD software (CREO and AutoCAD)
