Job Description

Work Schedule:

80% FTE, day shift. Monday - Friday with various start times of 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, and 8:30 AM. On-call shifts and weekends required once every 15 weeks. This position will work at Eastpark Medical Center and UW Hospital in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to:

  • Perform routine, complex and specialized nuclear medicine procedures and/or PET imaging.
  • Work in a variety of imaging sections, including a Level 1 Trauma Center and/or critical care areas, assist other radiology modalities and/or clinical services.
  • Utilize a wide variety of nuclear medicine equipment and computers. Provide basic maintenance and repairs, participate in QA/QC and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system (PACS).
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for affiliated imaging training programs and assist in training of fellows, residents, physicians and visiting health care professionals.

Education:

Minimum - Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program

Preferred - Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

Work Experience:

Minimum - Previous healthcare experience.

Preferred - Two (2) years clinical experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Certification by appropriate body (ARRT or NMTCB) within 6 months of hire. CPR certification required within 3 months of hire

Preferred - ARRT (RT-N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification
