POSITION

This Senior Manager role will include managing an SMA Trade Support team within Managed Accounts Operations. They will support strategies that include both, equities, and fixed income securities. Technical and Professional skills are needed for this dynamic work environment, with opportunities to expand responsibilities and gain visibility throughout the firm. They must be an operations leader who is continuously striving for excellence, improving the client experience, gaining process efficiencies, and adding controls where needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily management and leadership of Managed Accounts Operations team, with the goal of instilling positive cross-team interplay, collaboration, and execution
  • Manage business as usual SMA actives, including the Managed Accounts team who support portfolio implementation
  • Oversight of SMA model updates
  • Operational support to our investment teams (both equity and fixed income SMA strategies)
  • Asses current procedures and look for ways to improve processes
  • Execute on key objectives to improve accuracy, speed, customer service and productivity
  • Foster a positive work culture and promote collaboration and innovation within the Managed Accounts team
  • Build strong business partnerships across the business, including, but not limited to investments, distribution, legal, risk, compliance, regulatory reporting, data, technology, and various vendors
  • Daily oversight of our outsourced provider for reconciliation and trading activities
  • Expand and improve oversight of our outsourced provider

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent people management and leadership skills
  • Adaptable and comfortable with managing change and evolving priorities in a fast-pasted environment
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in Managed Accounts role with experience in multiple sponsor platforms
  • Extensive knowledge of Fixed Income, Equities, and other investment security types
  • Strong inter-personal skills; a team player with the ability to work with distinct groups that may be looking to accomplish varied objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Takes initiatives on a variety of projects and uses problem solving to complete effectively and efficiently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Critical Thinker - Ability to both follow processes and standards while also thinking critically and creatively to actively improve processes, problem solve, trouble shoot and create solutions to one-off issues
  • Demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision, managing multiple initiatives and delivering under tight and shifting deadlines
  • Ability to drive change toward continuous improvement and excellence
  • Management experience

Base Pay Range: $125,000-$185,000

Salary Range for California candidates only.Actual based may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
