What we need:
The Field Sales Applications Engineer's primary role is to work directly with Brady customers, or indirectly though Brady's channels, to design Optical Scanning, UHF and NFC RFID Scanning, Printing, Sensor Labels, and Integrated System Solutions that address customers' data management needs in the industrial manufacturing market segment. Along with engaging on projects, the SE will work with VAR (Value Added Reseller) partners on a project-by-project basis to help grow our network and drive adoption of our hardware and software.

The Field Sales Applications Engineer also works directly with Brady's US-based Strategic Account Management team to help them understand Brady's technical capabilities and the process for qualifying qualify new opportunities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Consults with VARs and customers on projects including: optical technologies, RFID technologies, Systems Integration, Printing, and overall manufacturing process optimization utilizing technology.
  • Engages with our strategic sales team to identify opportunities to enhance our current printer customer base with adjacent technologies.
  • Assists with training both internal and external partners (Sales and VAR network respectively) on product offering.
  • Discovers new hardware and software product development opportunities and filters VOC to Product Management.
  • Maintains active role in relevant industry groups with a focus on business development and networking
  • Success is measured by traction of new projects within our sales team on the delivery of technical solutions and advancement of our VAR and channel network(s).

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed goals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while displaying a high level of initiative
  • 5 years of experience in technical solutions sales,
  • 3 years of experience with cloud-hosted software
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Up to 50% travel
