The Hallmark Lawrence Greetings Production Center is in Lawrence, KS and opened in 1958. The facility is 650,000 square feet and is one of two primary U.S. manufacturing facilities supporting Hallmark Cards, Inc. This facility specializes in producing and packaging all of Hallmark's domestically produced greeting cards and about 98% of all envelopes for Hallmark North America. The Lawrence Greetings Production Center employs more than 800 people.

As an HR Generalist, you will support the Employee Experience (EX) team within the Hallmark Global (HG) business. The EX team is focused on fostering a thriving culture, engaged and high performing organization, elevated thinking and leadership, a more productive and agile workforce, all which translate to a more profitable business.

WHAT YOUR ROLE ENTAILS AND HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

As a "boots on the ground" HR Generalist, you will support plant leaders for the Lawrence Greetings Production Center in deploying and localizing all culture, organization, and people/talent initiatives with the purpose of creating engagement and retention of our employees while helping the business meet short and long-term business objectives.

In this role, you will provide critical support to various client groups and the team(s) they support. This position provides a link between the business and all HR processes including recruitment, functional HR partnerships, employee relations, policy administration, workforce planning, organizational development, manager coaching, and leadership development.

The HR Generalist is a true partner to the business, providing clear, data-driven insight regarding all workforce-related activities to enable the business to succeed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in human resources or people manager role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience with HCM systems ie, UKG or Kronos
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly collaborative
  • Ability to act with diplomacy and tact
  • Prior experience in employee relations
  • Ability to manage priorities and competing deadlines
  • Confidence in decision making
  • Curiosity for learning
  • Ability to use data to inform decisions
