The classroom is the most important place in the district. Individuals in the Teacher Residency Program (a partnership between University of Wisconsin, Madison and MPS) will provide an instructional program for students' which is appropriate to their educational needs and developmental level. The program recruits and trains individuals to become exceptional, special education teachers by providing an intensive and supportive school-based teacher training program. Over the residency year, teacher residents train in a classroom with a mentor teacher and take on increasing responsibility for teaching while gaining support through graduate course-work, on-site professional development, workshops and coaching.
Pay: No less than $49,836 annually
