The opportunity

Orientation Leaders are the backbone to hosting a successful Winter and Summer Orientation program. General duties include welcoming students, families, and supporters, hosting activities, guiding participants to campus sessions, and more. Employees must, on occasion, be willing to work flexible hours, late nights, and weekends. Our student employees are essential in helping us build community and support others finding a sense of belonging at SNHU. This position will primarily assist in building community for first year and transfer students. We look to hire students who demonstrate, enthusiasm, honesty, and authenticity.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide world class customer service to all new to SNHU students, and their families and supporters
  • Assist with activities for participants such as popcorn popping, lawn games, and tie-dye
  • Attend training sessions prior to Orientation and celebration activities post Orientation
  • Facilitate small group student sessions to include ice breakers, question and answers and name games

Expectations & Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in SNHU degree progr
  • Must be self-motivated; able to work independently in difficult situations with little supervision
  • Maintain a positive attitude during all shifts and be a role model for colleagues
  • Arrive at all shifts on-time and stay until the end of the shift
  • Wear appropriately designated and provided attire
  • Must be dedicated to serving new to SNHU students
  • Must be committed to creating and supporting an inclusive community
  • Must be a full time enrolled student in an Undergraduate Day or Graduate Day Program
  • This position is available for both College Paid and Work Study student
