Job Description
Position Title: Service Technician
Wage: Base Pay $16-$17/hour + Pay Incentives (including per diem, skiffs, emergency, and commission)
Shift: 1st
Hours: 8am-6pm TBD
QPS Employment Group has a direct hire opportunity for a Service Technician in Springfield, MO.
As a Service Technician specializing in furnace and ductwork cleaning, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of heating systems while maintaining clean and well-functioning ductwork. Your primary objective is to deliver high-quality service to clients, promoting a healthy indoor environment and maximizing the performance of heating systems.
Service Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform furnace inspection and maintenance to identify issues, malfunctions, and problems
- Ductwork cleaning: Utilize special equipment to clean ductwork and ventilation systems, remove dust and debris, inspect for leaks or blockages
- System troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot heating system problems, thermostats, fans, and control units
- Customer interactions: Communicate with clients to explain the scope of the work, potential issues, and recommend solutions
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all service activities, inspections, cleanings, and repairs
- Safety compliance: Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, utilize PPE during service operations
- Continuous learning: Stay informed about industry trends, advancements, and new technologies
Service Technician Requirements:
- Work in various environments, including residential and commercial properties
- May need to work in tight spaces, climb ladders, and lift heavy equipment
- Flexible working hours may be required, especially during peak seasons or emergency service calls
- May travel up to 12-15 times a year (per diem and travel expenses are taken care of); will always know well in advance except for the occasional emergency
- Willing to get Class E license to drive company vehicles (getting a class E license is just a written test)
- Full background check
