Huntsman is seeking a Business Performance Managersupporting the Performance Products Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Americas Finance Director.

As the Business Performance Manager, you will:

  • Provide support to the regional business to drive short-term financial delivery and long-term value creation. Ensure the quality, completeness, timeliness, and availability of information and data.
  • Monitor customer profitability and use financial decision-making tools and analysis to investigate and recommend actions to address value problems and assess value opportunities in line with business strategy.
  • Work closely with Purchasing team to understand key raw material movements and Pricing team on selling price to drive margin profitability. Ensure correct raw materials and selling prices are incorporated in forecast.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to understand market trends supporting our business segment growth projection.
  • Participate in monthly Demand Review meetings in collaboration with sales managers and demand manager to ensure accurate output of demand forecast supported by assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
  • Work with Sales and Supply Chain team throughout the month to project month end estimate on sales revenue and contribution margin.
  • Drive monthly and quarterly business performance review with regional leadership team and commercial teams.
  • Provide adhoc analysis and support related to projects, opportunities, or issue as they arise.

Required Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong data orientation and alignment.
  • Solid business insight and understanding.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • TM1 / IBM Planning Analytics experience is a plus.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence experience is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance with 10+ years relevant experience in business performance management with cross-functional team stakeholder management.

  • Ability to consistently apply very strong analytical skills in resolving financial matters for the business. Ability to break complex problems into more manageable elements.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (written and oral).
  • Decision Making - can use good judgment, facts and figures to come up with multiple decision options independently - i.e. with little supervision. Ability to engage multiple stakeholders to come into an agreed decision, if necessary.
  • Able to work independently but also as a good team player. Can interact and work with all business functions and with a wide variety of associates at all levels.
  • Can focus on key activities, prioritizing the most important and provide regular feedback on progress. Measure performance against targets.
  • Organized and able to balance multiple priorities and deadlines and properly follows through with little supervision.
  • Can manage to work under pressure and overtime (when needed).
  • Able to travel within US and internationally.
  • Outward personal behavior is consistent with expectation for others.
  • Constructively challenges colleagues on critical issues.
