Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, part lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
Assemble components throughout zone by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies

Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
Provide support and perform Group Leader functions when necessary
Foster productive networks across the zone
Follow TQC's and verifies
Explain and mentor associates to properly perform to standards and procedures
Encourage collaboration and gain trust/support of peers to drive action to improve group performance
2nd Priority - Skill Development
Work with Trainer to document individual skills via Skills Matrix process
Develop targeted skills in the 7 core competencies within the Assembly Zone Skills Matrix
Assist in demonstrating skills to new associates
Coach associates with non-conforming parts & assist in the calibration of quality standards to customer expectations
Assist in the development of others
3rd Priority - Continuous Improvement
Surface problems utilizing the problem consciousness board, group metrics and performance
Utilize PDCA logic to provide effective solutions to problems
Follow 5s standards everywhere - including cafeteria, bathrooms, parking lot etc.
Provide information so others can make accurate decision
Explain the importance of group metrics and performance

High School Diploma or GED
