  • The Division 33 Siteworks Civil Specification Manager plays a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing civil engineering projects. This role is responsible for managing specifications, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating efficient project execution. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and effective communication to ensure successful planning and execution of civil engineering projects.
  • This position will be located in the Southeast US.
Key Accountabilities
  • Specification Management: Develop, review, and manage project specifications related to civil engineering aspects such as site preparation, grading, drainage, utilities, and related construction activities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all civil engineering designs and activities adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate civil specifications into overall project plans. Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth execution.
  • Material Selection and Procurement: Oversee the selection and procurement of materials, equipment, and resources required for civil works. Work to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to monitor and maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and challenges in civil engineering projects and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including specifications, progress reports, and relevant records. Provide regular updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Indirectly lead and support a team of engineers, drafters, and technicians involved in civil engineering activities.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering and project management, preferably in a construction or engineering firm.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and materials.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in civil engineering design and project management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
