The role of the Senior Human Resources Manager is to enhance the company's overall performance through strategic consultation on people and organizational development strategies. This involves performing professional HR duties in support of specific program(s) and assigned business functions or groups. Such duties include talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, policy interpretation and application, organizational development, communication, compensation, and payroll. The Manager is also responsible for designing and directing the team's work as well as selecting, coaching, and developing staff. Setting clear expectations to motivate and inspire the team is another key aspect of the role. Additionally, the Manager manages performance by recognizing achievement, providing feedback, and administering progressive discipline when necessary.

HR Business Partnership

- Serve as a trusted advisor with internal stakeholders. Enhance the organization by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and HR policies, programs and practices. Partner with internal groups to manage coordination of HR programs, processes within a specific business group or core function. Live the Leadership Principles.

Talent/Staffing

- Partner with leadership teams and other HR (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Benefits, Compensation, Communications etc.) business leaders to grow diverse leadership, talent and technical capability in the business. Collaborates with Talent Acquisition to drive employment-branding initiatives to establish Generac as a leader and advocate for the industry. Expands talent acquisition and talent management efforts across Generac. Responsible for managing workforce headcount in support achieves productivity and efficiencies.

Compliance

- Implements standardized programs and policies that drive innovation and employee engagement. Ensures legal compliance with all Federal, State and local laws and regulations; ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.

HR Data and Reporting

- Collect and analyze HR metrics & data. Generate reports on workforce trends and key performance indicators. Use data insights to make informed HR decisions.

Project Management

- Provide project management leadership for projects including schedules, executing plans and integrating the activities of cross-functional team members. Develop and lead risk and mitigation plans for projects. Define and lead contingency options assessments when needed, then select and execute mitigation plans. Identify, evaluate and document "lessons-learned" during the project and communicate best practices and lessons learned to project team members on future projects.

Change Management

- Develop and execute a communication plan to keep all stakeholders informed about the change, including its purpose, benefits, and progress. Recognize and address resistance to change by working closely with employees and providing support and resources to help them overcome challenges.

Leadership

- Designs and directs the work of team. Selects, coaches and develops staff. Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance -recognizing achievement, providing feedback and administering progressive disciplines when necessary.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or relevant equivalent experience.
  • 5 years progressive HR management experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years leading a team of direct reports.
  • Experience implementing new HR processes and programs.
  • Experience with employee relations, training, and staffing.
  • Experience acquiring top tier talent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior work experience in Manufacturing or Technology industry.
  • Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Prior experience with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Prior experience working for a large, matrixed, global organization.
  • Prior experience supporting both office and manufacturing employees.
  • Workday or SuccessFactors experience.
