The Kitchen Aide assists the Child Nutrition Manager in assuring that daily meals are prepared and served according to USDA-CACFP guidelines.

About the role:

  • Assists Child Nutrition Manager in preparing and serving healthy meals and snacks to children.
  • Assists with the unloading and storing of food deliveries.
  • Performs dishwashing and cleaning duties accordingly.
  • Serves as a substitute for preparing and serving meals in the absence of Child Nutrition Manager.
  • Ensures Child and Adult Care Food Program (USDA-CACFP) regulations and Salvation Army Safe from Harm guidelines are followed and maintained.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Previous kitchen experience.

Certifications:

  • Wisconsin Food Handling Certification (Safe SERV)
  • Have CPR and FA certification or be able to complete course.
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license with approval to drive from TSA's insurance carrier.
