Under general direction, provides accounting, financial analysis, and budget support to the Community Services group with specific focus and expertise to support system grant processes and reporting. Prepares and analyzes monthly expenditure reporting for grants. Assures completion of the month end/ year end closing entries for State, Federal and private foundation grants and prepares and oversees the preparation of the annual A-133 audit for grants. Performs various accounting functions pursuant to the month-end general ledger close including preparation, editing and posting of journal entries, preparation of monthly operations report, monthly general ledger account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.

  • Requires the knowledge and understanding of recognized principles, theories and techniques of accounting and knowledge of accounting information systems and procedures acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Three to five years accounting experience, preferably in a health care or non-profit setting.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of EXCEL applications in a windows environment and computerized financial reports.

  • Experience working with grants (Federal, State, County and/or Private) as it relates to reporting and accounting practices.

  • Knowledge of grants (Federal, State, County and/or Private) financial reporting guidelines related to grant proposals, submissions and contracts.

This position is primarily remote, with the ability to come onsite occasionally for special projects.
