The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for fiscal management in support of the departments' clinical, research and education missions. In this role you will:
Required:
Ability to recognize implications, propose alternatives, and recommendations and implement solutions, analyze information to determine programmatic needs.
Skill in negotiating and exchanging ideas and information to formulate policies and procedures.
Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in workload, changes in assignments, and a heavy workload.
Demonstrated writing skills to compose logical, comprehensive, and grammatically correct correspondence, and reports.
Skill in using PC's, Excel/spreadsheet programs, database programs and computer operating systems.
Knowledge of principles of accounting and financial management. Demonstrated skill in financial analysis, planning, preparation and administration of a multi-million dollar budget with multiple funding sources.
Ability to establish, implement, monitor, and evaluate computerized financial planning, reporting, and management systems.
Skill in budget preparation and management, preparation of financial reports.
Knowledge of university financial ledgers and accounting procedures.
3 to 5 years of Financial planning and analysis experience or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
Experience with University financial transactions including those related to Purchasing and Accounts Payable System (PAC), Financial Systems (FS), Payroll System (EDB), Financial Projection Module (FPM), and Query Data Base (QDB).
Knowledge of Medical Center organizational structure, clinical, research, and administrative departments.
Demonstrated knowledge of University and federal contract and grant fiscal policies and procedures including proposal preparation requirements.
Knowledge of federal, state, and industry funding agencies and their policies and procedures regarding contracts, grants and subawards.
