Job Description

Director, Global ETO Planning and Procurement

Oversees global planning of ETO lines along with global ETO procurement for the company. Includes activities related to the end-to-end information and material flow from customer demand planning to shop floor scheduling to supplier long term planning. This position will complete a range of duties including:

  • Establish and maintain the strategy and vision for ETO planning and ETO procurement that is responsive, agile, and efficient based upon environment and key performance indicators
  • Ensure balance between service and inventory while meeting business objectives of growth within the ETO product lines
  • Effectively analyze the probability and impact of risks affecting supply, transformation, delivery, and customer demand across the ETO value chains; develop strategies with key stakeholders that minimize financial impact identified
  • Balance supply and demand; effectively collaborate and communicate with ETO value chain team members; integrate activities across functions by ensuring information visibility and aligned cadence; mitigate the bullwhip effect
  • Provide a means to generate transformational change in performance and capabilities of the team and ETO value chains as a whole; initiate process improvements that are enabled and supported by technology
  • Direct and control the activities of multiple functional areas through managers who have overall responsibility of the successful operations of those assigned areas

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional work experience in strategic planning, org design, and global supply chain planning.
  • Broad global management experience.
  • APICS Certified
  • Able to develop resolution to critical issues and broad company matters in creative and effective ways. Independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Has awareness of the needs of others. Understand other business needs and goals. Has perspective into other points of view. Builds rapport and credibility with colleagues around the world. Anticipates needs and responds to concerns and conflicts.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detailed-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects active at once.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity with the ability to navigate uncertainty. Works with abstract ideas or situations across functional areas of the business. Through assessment of intangible variables, identifies and evaluates fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction for major functional areas. Requires in-depth knowledge of the functional area, business strategies, and the company's goals.
  • Familiar with strategic/ business planning tools or methodology. Can assist with the generation of a strategic plan that integrates numerous business issues, functions and resources for effective action. Identify potential strategic partners, alliances and relationships to accomplish desired outcomes.
  • Has been involved in the implementation and execution of business development growth strategies and processes to meet both market share and revenue goals.
  • Degree in Supply Chain desired.
