Job Description

What You Will Do:

We are seeking a Data Architect to join our growing Business Intelligence team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of new data architecture as well as for improving existing data architecture at an enterprise level. Additionally, you will work closely with various stakeholders to understand business requirements, create ER models, establish data governance, and identify and propose different technological solutions (On-Prem and in Azure/GCC-High) with the mission of further enabling the business to make data-driven decisions.

This on-site hybrid position is located at our Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. This role reports directly to the manager of Business Intelligence.

How You Will Do It:

  • Work directly with multiple stakeholders across the business to understand and define data models for various systems and business goals.
  • Develop strategies for data warehouses, data acquisition, and access for both on-prem and cloud.
  • Develop and execute data governance strategies.
  • Develop Enterprise data model for implementation by data engineers.
  • Design and construction of databases both on-prem and in Azure/GCC-High.
  • Develop and adhere to DQ metrics.

What We Look For:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or another related technical program from an accredited University.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Data Architect
  • Must be able to work on U.S. government programs or obtain security clearance in the future.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relational vs non-relational databases.
  • Demonstrated understanding of database schemas.
  • Demonstrated understanding of ETL and its associated design patterns.
  • Solid understanding of ER data modeling.
  • Proficiency in MSSQL
  • Highly motivated, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)

Desired:

  • Familiarity with Apache Airflow and/or Dagster
  • Familiarity with REST API's
  • Oracle DB
  • One of Azure/AWS/GCP platforms
