JOB TITLE: Employment Specialist/Case Manager - CORE/CCS-Youth

FLSA STATUS: Salaried / Overtime In-Eligible

JOB LOCATION: Social Services - Youth Programs

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Providing educational and employment support using the Individualized Placement and Support model for individuals enrolled in the Early Intervention Program.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Legend: E = Essential NE = Non-Essential N/A = Not Applicable

1. Engage clients and establish relationships with the goal of competitive employment in integrated community settings. E

2. Assist individuals identify their history, strengths, culture, and skills as they relate to employment. E

3. Work with the consumer to identify behaviors that interfere with the consumers' work performance and develop interventions to address the problem behaviors. E

4. Develop and foster relationships with employers on behalf of the consumer. E

5. Spend at least 65% of time in the community with consumers. E

6. Monitor and negotiate work placements and recruit potential employers for enrollees. E

7. Attend meetings and professional development activities, as required. E

8. Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all parents, co-workers, etc. E

9. Follow all duties of a mandated reporter. E

10. Perform other related duties, as assigned. NE

Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is generally performed in field and office environments. Local travel required; some state-wide travel may be needed.

REPORTS TO: Clinician/Therapist/Supervisor - CORE/CC and/or designee

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Services, Mental Health, or Business. Master's degree (Highly desirable).

2. Two (2) years of experience providing mental health services.

3. Bilingual (Spanish and English), spoken and written. (Highly preferred)

4. Neat orderly person with great organizational skills.

5. Must be a "People Person" with a great disposition and outlook on life, who enjoys working with others, is upbeat and pleasant to work with and is a good listener.

6. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite.

7. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as needed.

8. Excellent communication and documentation skills, written and verbal

9. Must pass all background checks.
