  • Adheres to all Children's Wisconsin and Children's Medical Group policies, procedures, and standards. Ensures confidentiality to our customers by creating and maintaining a secure and trusting environment; maintains HIPAA compliance. Provides exceptional care to patients and families to fulfill our patient experience promise.
  • Regularly performs LPN duties within the scope of professional practice in accordance to the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing and maintains own patient care competencies as determined by position scope of practice
  • Performs Pre-Visit Planning prior to clinic appointments to ensure visit efficiencies and identify care gaps.
  • Alerts provider or Registered Nurse (RN) of any patient needing immediate assistance.
  • Performs clinical assessments within scope of practice, with the exception of triage.
  • Attend staff meetings and in-services, and keep abreast of communication that affects patient care, services, and clinic operations.
  • Provide education using pre-printed standardized content (AVS, teaching sheets, etc.)
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
  • Licensure, Registration and/or Certification

    Requires current licensure to practice as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in the State of Wisconsin. Requires current CPR certification -Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross.

  • Education

    Graduate of LPN program.
