Children's Wisconsin was founded by community volunteers and ever since opening our doors, the contributions of volunteers has helped the organization evolve to a top-ranked pediatric enterprise focused on caring for every aspect of child health: physical, dental, social and mental health.

The Affinity Group Program Coordinator is an important teammate in developing and supporting processes that foster a positive, gold-standard volunteer engagement journey with the goal of Children's Wisconsin being a top destination for volunteerism in the State of Wisconsin. This teammate will be charged with supporting growth and sustainability strategies for voluteerism across the health system and out in the community. This teammate will focus on building internal process and work streams, to maximize the Foundation and health system's ability to recruit, retain, and recognize the impact of volunteerism and how positive engagement begets philanthropic support to Children's. This teammate will support partnership with departments across the system to integrate work plans where volunteer engagement is involved or to build opportunities where volunteerism could help further Children's mission.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education

  • Requires a bachelor's degree

Experience

  • Three years of project management, communications, volunteer management or related experience.
  • Experience in non-profit environment, preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children's values and support our mission and vision.
  • Requires a high level of organizational skills, strong project management and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
    • Demonstrates ability to build new process and think critically how they support long-term outcomes. Demonstrates ability to be iterative and willingness to adapt.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as creative ability.
