SummaryThe Principal Product Portfolio Manager (PPM) leads the global strategy development process for MiTek Builder Products. This is done in line with the objective to increase market share and generate growth. The PPM is responsible for analyzing the market and interacting with customers/prospects to identify the targeted segments and opportunities which best align with MiTek capabilities. They define the ideal positioning for MiTek and then drive the development of a five-year innovation portfolio and 4P market strategy that will enable MiTek to deliver long-term value to customers. The PPM is also responsible for collaborating with the aligned functions and geographies to lead strategy execution, ensuring that all activities are aligned to the global strategy for growth. The Product Portfolio Manager must be a strong leader, an analytical thinker, possess a strong business acumen, and able to communicate effectively to internal/external audiences as they position MiTek externally and influence strategy adoption across functions.

Job Responsibilities & RequirementsRESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Accountable for leading the global strategy development process (cross functional and aligned to product/solution category) to upgrade and define the 3 to 5-year global product line strategy.

  • Initiate and coordinate external analysis to identify competitors, market trends, market opportunities and 4P strategy improvement recommendations.

  • Clearly articulate customer needs, competitors' product offerings, customer's buying preferences, and competitive advantage/disadvantage across functions.

  • Identifies target markets and market penetration strategies.

  • Understand the needs of customers/prospects and translate them into market requirements and business cases to drive product management and innovation initiatives.

  • Lead product life cycle management to obsolete outdated offerings and to introduce/launch new products and programs which are required for sustainable growth in the market.

  • Discern and generate business cases for product extensions and product line enhancements.

  • Participate in industry associations to understand market dynamics and position MiTek as a leader in targeted markets/segments; Plan and attend tradeshows/events for aligned markets.

  • Responsible for leading the strategy execution process via collaboration with Regional Marketing and orchestration of cross functional activities to deliver targeted product, revenue, and CX results.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong understanding of MiTek capability, Markets/Customers served, and the Residential/Commercial building processes

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing and/or Sales managing full product lines

  • Demonstrated success in integrating portfolio of products across existing and growing customer base

  • Experience in builder products or construction materials channel strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated skill to interact with, and inspire, customers

  • Well-developed capabilities in problem-solving and crafting efficient processes

  • A result and success-oriented mentality, conveying a sense of urgency and driving issues to closure

  • An ability to initiate and build relationships with people in an open, friendly, and accepting manner

  • An innate drive to innovate and optimize the use of available resources

  • Up to 50% travel

  • Hybrid based out of MiTek's Chesterfield, MO office is preferred, remote option available for the ideal candidate.
