80% FTE, 8 hour day/evening shifts, Monday - Friday with rotating start times between 6:30am-9:00am. On-call requirements and weekend rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:

  • Work in the Ambulatory Procedure Center in the pre/post and procedural areas. Care for patients needing EUS, ERCP, Endoscopies and Bronchoscopies.
  • Communicate procedural room activities to facilitate efficiency in the procedural case progression and turnover between cases.
  • Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures, and standards of care plan to the perioperative patient's level of complexity.
  • High acuity unit preferring experience in the ICU, 3+ years of IMC experience and or Pre/Post/PACU experience.

Education:

Minimum - Associates Degree - Nursing (ADN).

Preferred - Bachelor of Science - Nursing (BSN).

Work Experience:

Minimum - Six (6) months of RN experience.

Preferred -

  • Experience working pre/post operatively with varied surgical patient populations.
  • Emergency nursing, critical care, medical/surgical, or ambulatory surgery center experience.
  • Moderate sedation and cardiac monitoring experience.
  • One (1) year or more of RN experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations. Basic Life Support/CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) if assigned to work in the PACU.

Preferred - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
